On Independence Day 2011 we drove past a Rodeo near Lake Tahoe and we stopped to watch it for a while. I think the event was very American and very manly.

Christmas Lighting
I am still working on some themes that I have found in California during the past two years.
One of them is this scene from Berkeley's 4th Street. I took a cell phone picture of the illuminated tree while we were sitting outside at Peet's coffee shop. I just liked the quiet atmosphere on this warm winter afternoon during the holiday season of 2010.

A Birthday Party

Twenty Shades of Grey
